UNDERSTANDING AND RESPONDING TO CHILD ABUSE AND EXPLOITATION.

The full course is from 9am to 3.30pm – and is for all Pastors, Elders, Church Leaders and anyone involved in Children’s Ministries who has not yet attended one of these programs.

The refresher course is from 1pm to 3.30pm and is required to be undertaken ever three years thereafter.   Please keep your training current as things do change and refreshment is always a good thing.

The afternoon component of this seminar now serves as a recognised update seminar for those who have either:

Attended and completed a full day seminar within the last three years, or are due to complete an update seminar in order to maintain a current BUNT certificate.

 IMPORTANT INFORMATION – Accredited seminars only:

Due to BUNT standards, participants must attend the entire program in order to receive a certificate. Any person arriving late, missing a session, or leaving early cannot be issued with a certificate.

What to bring:                  Pen & writing/note paper.

Manuals:                            CPS supply individual manuals.

Mobile phones:                Must be switched off at all times during seminars.

Babies/Children:            Are not permitted.

Recording:                        Seminars are unable to be recorded due to strict insurance restrictions and conditions.

Cancellations:                  CPS must be advised as soon as possible if you have a booking and are unable to attend.

Certificates:                     Will be issued within 14 days of the seminar.

NOTE:                                  Any person arriving late, missing a session or leaving early will not be supplied with a certificate.

Attendance:                     This seminar is not recommended for persons under the age of 17 years, unless parental approval is
provided.

Warning: The topic of child abuse is a confronting issue. CPS advises that whilst seminars are custom designed in order to meet the specific needs of organisations/churches (volunteers and professionals) that some components may be disturbing. If for personal reasons you are in doubt, please discuss the situation with your pastor or CPS before attending. It is the responsibility of the host church to have a designated pastoral carer in attendance.
